Traditional Aşure Charity Event Held at Burhaniye Faculty of Applied Sciences
The traditional aşure charity event organized by Burhaniye Faculty of Applied Sciences (BUBFA) became a meaningful gathering that strengthened unity and solidarity. The charity program, held with the participation of District Governor Cumali Atilla, brought together Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Mehmet Oğuzhan İlban, Vocational School Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muammer Bezirgan, District Gendarmerie Commander Ünal Bayhan, District Police Chief Faik Karabaş, District Prison Commander Engin Demir, Burhaniye State Hospital Chief Physician Dr. Evren Akgöl, faculty administration, hotel guests and students.
During the event, which brought together different segments of society, the importance of sharing and solidarity was emphasized. The faculty administration stated that such charity events contribute to social cohesion and thanked the participants. The traditional aşure charity organized by Burhaniye Faculty of Applied Sciences also received wide attention on social media with the hashtag #bubyorulmayanıyaşat. The event was appreciated as a good example of university–city cooperation. Faculty officials stated that such social responsibility projects will continue and said, “We hope that these charitable acts that strengthen our unity and solidarity will be accepted, and we thank everyone who contributed.”
