Career Days 9, organized under the coordination of the Graduate Employment Office of Balıkesir University Burhaniye Faculty of Applied Sciences, was held with strong participation at the Şehit Prosecutor Mehmet Selim Kiraz Conference Hall. At the event, Merit Royal Premium Hotel Food and Beverage Manager Yiğit Avcı and Assistant Food and Beverage Manager Egemen Özkarslıoğlu, operating in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, met with students.
During the career day, the guests shared their career journeys, the operation of the food and beverage department, management processes, and opportunities in international chain hotels with the students. At the end of the program, students’ CVs were collected and preliminary interviews were conducted. In the question-and-answer session, many topics related to the sector, working conditions, and career planning were discussed.
In his closing speech, Dean Prof. Dr. M. Oğuzhan İlban stated:
“We see our Career Days events as very valuable meetings that support our students in taking strong and conscious steps in their professional journeys. In this context, I sincerely thank Merit Royal Premium Hotel Food and Beverage Manager Mr. Yiğit Avcı and Assistant Food and Beverage Manager Mr. Egemen Özkarslıoğlu for coming together with us at our faculty within the scope of Career Days 9 and sincerely sharing their knowledge, experience, and insights. It is very important for us that our students can communicate directly with sector representatives, establish their career plans on stronger foundations, and look to the future with greater confidence. I would also like to thank our Graduate Employment Office Coordination and everyone who contributed to this meaningful organization, and I wish our students a successful professional life. We will continue to bring our students together with sector representatives and stand by them in their career journeys.”
