Italian Cuisine Drew Great Interest at BUBFA
The Italian Cuisine workshop organized by Balıkesir University Burhaniye Faculty of Applied Sciences (BUBFA) attracted great interest from students and academics of the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department.
The event provided participants with an important gastronomic experience and offered them the opportunity to explore different culinary cultures. Chef Abdullah Çavdar from the Mediterran Coburg Restaurant introduced the rich flavors of Italian cuisine and provided training during this special event.
During the workshop, several traditional dishes from Italian cuisine were prepared, including carpaccio, vitello tonnato, porcini mushroom risotto, linguini coruso, and crema catalana. Participants had the chance to apply Italian recipes step by step while benefiting from the chef’s professional experience.
While each dish was prepared with the chef’s detailed explanations and tips, participants also had the opportunity to discover the richness of Italian culinary culture. At the end of the workshop, participants tasted the dishes they had prepared, gaining both a delicious experience and an opportunity to improve their culinary skills.
At the end of the event, Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. M. Oğuzhan İlban presented a certificate of appreciation to Chef Abdullah Çavdar and emphasized that such workshops are extremely valuable for students in learning about different culinary cultures and preparing for professional kitchen environments.
Burhaniye Faculty of Applied Sciences aims to organize similar workshops in the future to help students become more knowledgeable about international cuisines.
