The BUBFA Training Hotel, operating under the Balıkesir University Burhaniye Faculty of Applied Sciences (BUBFA), held a farewell event for students who completed their summer internships. A special gathering was organized at the hotel to mark the end of the internship period.
The event, attended by Prof. Dr. M. Oğuzhan İlban, Acting Dean of the Faculty; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Solunoğlu, Vice Acting Dean; Lect. Kaya Nihat Pekbay; Lect. Fatih Çolakoğlu; Res. Asst. M. Tahsin Liceli; Training and Application Facility Chef Mithat Oruç, hotel staff, and students, featured a lively atmosphere with delicious dishes prepared on the barbecue.
During the informal gathering, faculty members expressed their appreciation to the students, sharing motivational remarks. Addressing the interns, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Oğuzhan İlban stated:
“You have now gained insight into the industry and become individuals who can confidently work in any touristic establishment. As you continue to be part of the sector, you will face the realities of professional life firsthand. Let this place remain a valuable stepping stone and a meaningful learning environment for you. From now on, you should keep improving yourselves and be in a position to guide new students we will prepare for the industry. The theoretical and practical knowledge you gained here will be reflected in your professional careers. I am certain that each of you will go on to achieve great success in life. Congratulations to you all, and I wish you continued success.”
The event concluded with the presentation of Certificates of Achievement prepared for each student.
