BUBFA is Ready for Tourism Week 2025 A Festival Atmosphere Will Fill the Campus on April 16-17
Balıkesir University Burhaniye Faculty of Applied Sciences (BUBFA) will host an exciting two-day program as part of the Tourism Week Events, taking place on April 16–17, 2025.
The event will offer students a rich blend of workshops, competitions, musical performances, and traditional flavors, combining fun with hands-on learning experiences.
🍽️ April 16 – Kicking Off with the Award-Winning Cooking Competition
The first day will feature an Interstudent Cooking Competition from 13:00 to 17:00, where teams of three will prepare a three-course menu consisting of an appetizer, main dish, and dessert.
🎁 Prizes include accommodation at Cunda Application Hotel, dining experiences at local restaurants, and exclusive gift packages.
👩🍳 April 17 – A Full Day of Culinary and Art Workshops
On the second day, students and guests will enjoy a variety of gastronomy and creativity workshops led by renowned chefs and experts:

11:15–13:00 – Natural Vinegar Workshop with Chef Gizem Manisalı
13:30–14:30 – Olive Oil Tasting Workshop with Chef Gizem Manisalı
14:30–17:00 – Pastry & Simit Workshop with Chef Emrah Genç
14:00–15:00 – Cologne-Making Workshop with Elif Budak
14:30–17:00 – Non-Alcoholic Cocktail Workshop with Bartender Özgür Ateş

12:00–14:00 & 13:00–14:00 – Woodblock Printing Workshop with Emine Kuşçul
13:00–14:00 & 14:00–15:00 – Breathing and Yoga Session with Hülya Numanoğlu
Each workshop will have limited capacity and require pre-registration for participation.
