Balıkesir University Burhaniye Faculty of Applied Sciences (BUBFA) hosted an important figure in the fields of tourism and gastronomy.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Turgay Bucak, President of the İzmir Chefs Association and Head of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at Dokuz Eylül University, delivered a talk titled “Career Opportunities in the Tourism and Food & Beverage Industry.”
The event attracted great interest from students of the faculty. During the session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bucak discussed the dynamics of the tourism and food & beverage industry, career planning, and key strategies for achieving professional success. He also shared valuable insights on emerging trends in the sector and the importance of specialization in gastronomy, offering practical guidance for students in shaping their future careers.
In the interactive Q&A session that followed, participants had the opportunity to ask Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bucak questions about the industry and gain deeper understanding of the sector. The event was highly appreciated by students for being both inspirational and professionally enriching.
At the end of the program, Prof. Dr. M. Oğuzhan İlban, Dean of BUBFA, presented a plaque of appreciation to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Turgay Bucak for his valuable contribution.
